corogated plastic - this is the stuff that most of the people running for office make signs out of and hand on the street corners. it looks like cardboard but is made of plastic
a sheet thats 4 feet by 8 feet costs $15 4 sheets to make a 16 foot by 8 foot sign would cost $45
one person told me to go to a plastic shop and i could get the 4 by 8 foot sheets for $8 each which would be $32 for a 16 by 8 foot sign.
on lady told me you can get a pint of a paint with the trade name of "one shot" to paint them for $5. she said the point holds up well and doesnt wear off.
cloth banner
i called two shops to get estimates on how much a 16 foot by 8 foot cloth banner would cost. one store said $250 and the other store said $500.
a little pricey compared to corogated plastic.
plywood
i called home depot to get prices on sheets of 8 foot by 4 foot plywood. the prices are:
3/4 inch thick 8 x 4 foot $24.65 1/2 inch thick 8 x 4 foot $18.52
